History

Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Nihri was established on 20th April 2018 with the vision of providing quality vocational training to the youth of rural areas of District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The institute started its journey with limited resources but a strong commitment to skill development and employment-oriented education. In its initial years, ITI Nihri offered only a few trades, but gradually expanded to include Electrician (NCVT), Fashion Design & Technology (NCVT), and Plumber (SCVT). Within a short span, the institute gained recognition for its dedicated teaching, practical workshops, and participation in various government skill development programs. Since its establishment, ITI Nihri has been playing a vital role in empowering local youth, promoting self-employment, and contributing to the Government of India’s mission of Skill India. Today, the institute continues to move forward with the same vision of creating a skilled, confident, and self-reliant generation.
